CRN Yachts is an Italian pleasure boat builder, founded in 1963 by Sanzio Nicolini in the Ancona shipyard. CRN stands for Costruzioni e Riparazioni Navali. The builder manufactures bespoke luxury motorized superyachts and megayachts, in steel and aluminum, ranging in length from 40 to 90 meters. The first yachts produced by CRN were between 15 and 23 meters long. During the 1970s the shipyard built Super Conero, its first 50-meter steel superyacht which led to ever-larger ships. The yachts of the yard are built in partnership with strong, renowned designers which helps to forge the international reputation of CRN Yachts. In 1999, the manufacturer was bought by the Ferretti group. The company expanded its portfolio in 2002 with the acquisition of the historic Mario Morini shipyard known for the production of military vessels. The new yard has enabled the builder to diversify its production, to combine its traditional steel and aluminum vessels with new composites. Up to five pleasure craft are now launched each year and the fleet is changing rapidly, as is its reputation. The site also offers a handling, technical control and refit service. CRN Boats regularly win prizes and awards at prestigious trade fairs. As in 2018 the 61-meter yacht Constance received the Awards of a Travelers and the World Superyacht Awards.
