WALLY is a Monte-Carlo, Monaco-based maritime designer and builder, founded by Italian businessman Luca Bassani in 1994. Wally is a manufacturer renowned for its high-end sailboats, and for its futuristic-designed motor yachts. Their range extends from the 11-meter Nano racing sailboat to sailing and motor yachts up to 60 meters in length. Among his many world-famous projects is the 118 WallyPower, a sleek and futuristic superyacht featured in the film The Island, directed by Michael Bay and released in 2005. In 2012, Wally launched the 50.50-meter sailing superyacht Better Place. The world's largest carbon fiber composite sloop of the time. The builder is the only one to have twice won the Compasso d'Oro (in 2004 and 2008), the most prestigious award in the world, it assesses the quality and design of thousands of ships each year. Since its inception, the Monegasque brand has launched yachts that are always unmatched, while continuously innovating products thanks to an intensive and unique research and development program.
