LAZZARA is an American company founded by chemical engineer Vince Lazzara. He started building yachts in 1955, when he built the largest fiberglass yacht of his time. It begins its production of sailboat under the name of Columbia yachts. The Columbia shipyard very quickly became the largest sailboat manufacturer in the world. During the 70s Vince L. sells Columbia and launches Gulfstar Yachts which will quickly monopolize the sailing market. In the 1980s, Lazzara's sons, Brad and Dick, joined the family business and established their own business in 1990, Lazzara Yacht Corporation, which focuses exclusively on the design of motor yachts and bespoke yachts including the first model was the LAZARRA 72. Years of production and model advancement followed, as well as numerous awards for innovative design and patented processes. The third generation of the Lazzara family, is now at work and the yard remains a family business, which continues to build a solid reputation.
